The gluttons for punishment include Chris Bowers of the Savannah Volunteer fire department and his friend Josh Moss, owner of Catamount Crossfit, who threw in partly for the challenge and partly for moral support. The race raised $5,000 for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Greenville.
