The course runs Jan. 29 through April 9, with classes every other Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Topics will include agribusiness planning, marketing, production and pricing for market demand, legal and insurance issues,  agribusiness financing, Good Agriculture Practices certification and food safety regulations. Professionals from the region and state agency representatives will teach the classes. 

The school is a program of the Western North Carolina Food Policy Council and supported by the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina to create a one-stop program for farmers to access low-cost agribusiness resources.
