Eaglenest to host grand reopening

art eaglenestA state-of-the-art entertainment facility, Eaglenest will have its grand reopening at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 27, in Maggie Valley.

The celebration and open house will feature a performance by Michelle Leigh. The event is free with a donation to CarePartners Hospice. Barbeque will be served during this family-friendly evening of music and festivities.

Eaglenest Entertainment is a music venue with two stages; one is a newly renovated indoor auditorium seating 800, while the other is a large outdoor stage with a capacity of 3,500. The venue will feature regular performances by Leigh, a regionally well-known country and rock artist who has been tapped to be the host band. In addition, national acts such as Shooter Jennings, Gene Watson, and Billy Bob Thornton are slated to perform at Eaglenest in the coming months.

Eaglenest’s managers intend for the venue to be a strong force not just in the music world, but also for the community at large. All proceeds from the open house event will benefit CarePartners Hospice, a program that exists to bring comfort, reduce fears, and make a difference in the lives of patients facing life-limiting illness, as well as their loved ones.
