Visit the Waynesville Watershed

A 4-mile hike exploring the Waynesville Watershed will embark at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7.

The group will meet at the town’s water treatment plant and return by 2 p.m., led by the Town of Waynesville and Haywood Waterways Association. The hike is rated moderate to strenuous and winds through the protected 8,000-acre watershed that provides drinking water for many Haywood County residents. 

Hikers should bring lunch and water, and be prepared to hike through mud. No pets. Space is limited to 15 people. Hikers should bring lunch and water.
