Experienced growers Ron and Kathy Arps will lead a panel discussion about home gardening at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, in the community room of the Jackson County Library in Sylva. The Arps three-quarter-acre garden just outside of Sylva is totally muscle-powered. Other panel members include Lynn Jones, who lives in Cashiers where gardening at 3,700 feet in elevation presents a host of challenges.
