Farm tour and garden walk in Jackson

out arps farmThe Jackson County Farmers Market is sponsoring the sixth annual Farm Tour and Garden Walk from 1 to 5 p.m. July 14 and 15.

Participants can meet farmers and home gardeners and learn methods and gardening tricks. Balsam Gardens will be offering hayrides during the Saturday tour. Eleven farms and gardens are on the tour.

Participants can use this event to get a first-hand look at where their food comes from and learn a few tricks of the trade in the process.

Tickets can be purchased at the farmers market, which is open from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday. 828.631.3033.
