Take the aerial challenge with NOC’s new zip line park

out ziplinerNantahala Outdoor Center has opened a new Nantahala Zip Line Adventure Park that features a traditional zip line and aerial obstacle course.

The zip line lets guests fly high above the forest floor in the tree canopy on a series of steel cables, with the longest zip being 600 feet.

The new attraction also sports a European-style aerial adventure course where participants negotiate a series of challenging aerial obstacles and sky bridges while harnessed into a unique self-guided belay system.

Imported from Switzerland, the Saferoller self-guided belay system offers guests freedom to move through the course at their own pace, and to select the specific challenges they want to tackle. It also offers maximum safety, as the passive system does not require any staff manipulation while a participant is on the course.

The course features two levels with 17 total elements, including zip lines, sky bridges, and aerial trekking activities. There are two circuits, depending on how high off the ground you’re comfortable going.
