Free backpacks, fun offered at Vineival

The 6th-annual Vineival will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, at the Vine of the Mountains Church building in Frog Level next to the Armory.

Sponsored by Vine of the Mountains, the event features a wide variety of carnival-style games. Central Elementary student who attend will receive free backpacks with all required schools supplies for their respective grades.

Crafts, hot dogs and door prizes will also be given away.

“We do this event because we know how expensive starting school can be. With the rising prices, we are all experiencing; a little goes a long way,” said Wende Goode, the Vine’s community outreach director.

Parents with a student at Central Elementary should call 828.452.2771, ext. 5, to register.
