Parking lot offers native plant lesson

out farmersmarketThe native garden located at the Bridge Park parking lot in the triangle surrounding the Jackson County Farmers Market sign provides a mini native plants lesson. On the back of the sign, you will find a map of all of the plants planted in the triangle and an article about native landscaping with a list of a variety of plants to choose from.

The Farmers Market takes place every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon in the Bridge Park Parking lot in downtown Sylva. You can find a large variety of vegetables, meats, some cheeses, baked goods and crafts. All items are locally produced. Also this week Family Art at the Market is offering Splatter Painting with kids from 10 to noon. City Lights Bookstore will have storytime at the market around 11 a.m. Check out the Jackson County Farmers Market on Facebook or call Jenny at 828.631.3033.
