Fiction Talks, a new writers organization in
Western North Carolina for local authors and writers, will hold
its first meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 16 in the Community Room
of the Clyde Savings Bank on Carolina Blvd in Clyde.
The group is open to writers of all genre, including non-fiction,
poets and those who write fiction.
The groups emphasis will be on interactive support and sharing
the written creation, learning methods and style, critiques, editing,
publishing and having a good time among friends with creative minds.
Guest speakers and workshops will occasionally be scheduled for
specific skill needs.
Organizing members of Fiction Talks include Tamara Fairchild, author
of numerous published articles in Bluegrass Unlimited, Fate Magazine
and more; Buffy Queen, screenwriter and producer of the regional
motion picture, Southern Belles; and Marshall Frank,
local columnist and author of two published suspense novels.
