Arts, crafts sought for exhibit, sale at summer music festival
SMN

The second annual CulloWHEE! ArtsFest, Western Carolina University’s summer celebration of live music and fine arts, is now accepting applications for an art exhibition and sale to take place as part of the two-day festival.

The outdoor festival is scheduled for Friday, June 20, and Saturday, June 21, on the WCU campus. The festival is expected to draw more than 5,000 people and is being promoted throughout the Southeast. Last year’s event attracted more than 2,000 patrons.

The arts and crafts exhibition and sale will be part of the “arts village,” an area adjacent to the main stage where participants can relax, purchase arts and crafts, and listen to a variety of regional and local musicians performing between the headliners and other acts. The gates will open at 5 p.m. June 20 and noon on June 21.

Fee for each 12-by-12 space is $100. Each artist will be provided with a duplex electrical outlet, a table, two festival passes and two festival T-shirts. Additional tickets will be available at a reduced cost.
