Right-wingers run the networks
SMN

This is in response to Mark Hyman’s “commentary” recently on WLOS-TV that labeled people of good conscience who oppose the illegal, insane “war” in Iraq with being un-American.

I know this is a typical charge by right-wing Republicans as a way to deflect scrutiny from the real issues. But you are very out of step with the way most Western North Carolina people believe. We can see that this is another Vietnam, in other words, “un-win-able” and morally wrong. And it will bankrupt our country and has put us in greater harms way than ever, contrary to the lies that were used to justify it. Because you are the voice for the right-wing media in this country and your company owns more than 50 TV and radio stations, I realize that my comments will probably go straight to the trash can, Mr. Hyman, but I want you to know that anyone who has common sense and compassion for those suffering, as we do in the mountains here, can see through your “commentaries” for what they really are ... a way to influence the TV news watchers of this nation to believe that your brand of hatred for those who speak out and intolerance of those who see through this Republican, right-wing “we own the air waves” charade is acceptable. If you really wanted to show a balanced viewpoint, you would have guest commentators on who have a different viewpoint. But we know the Republicans changed the FCC requirements so that is not necessary anymore. We are not fooled. And I, for one, will “mute” your “The Point” from now on ... the point is, Mr. Hyman, my mind can’t be bought and, hopefully, in the next year, until we can get a legally elected, national administration that is not greed-based, our nation won’t be ruined for decades to come by those who pay for your comments in “The Point.”
