Regional leaders take part in meth seminar

“Substance abuse: The cost of doing business” is the subject of a panel discussion to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 29 at the Tartan Hall in Franklin’s First Presbyterian Church.

The discussion will included changes in laws regarding methamphetamine labs, treatment options for offenders, protecting children and a wide range of other issues. Experts who will take part in the discussion include 30th Judicial District Attorney Mike Bonfoey, Macon Sheriff Robby Holland, Superior Court Judge James U. Downs, Probation and Parole Supervisor Debra Debruhl, and mental health professional Mike Neidig.

Panelists will make brief introductory remarks and then take questions from the audience.
