The Jackson County Extension and Community Association Craft Club is sponsoring two shadow appliqué workshops this month.

Shadow appliqué involves adhering fabric to the inside of a sweatshirt, sewing a simple pattern on the front side, and then cutting close to the stitching line, revealing the fabric underneath. Debby Dale will be the instructor.

The workshop will be presented at two sessions: 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 in the Conference Room of the Community Service Center in Sylva. Participants should register by Feb. 21 by calling the Cooperative Extension Office at 828.586.4009.
