| Foundation
will help Blue Ridge School SMN A new foundation has been formed to help raise funds to provide supplemental resources to Blue Ridge School, the pre-K through grade 12 public school that serves the southern portion of Jackson County. The new Blue Ridge School Education Foundation includes DeWayne Mills, a Cashiers businessman and Blue Ridge parent; Susan Waller, a veteran Blue Ridge third grade teacher Susan Waller; Andrew Shaw, a local Ford dealer and Blue Ridge parent; and Cynthia Fowler, a parent, homemaker and community activist. The first major fund-raising event will be a barbecue to be held at the Village Green in Cashiers on Memorial Day weekend.
