Conference to cover control of water erosion, sediment runoff

A Sediment/Erosion/Stormwater Management conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 31 at the N.C. Arboretum. This is, in part, being funded by a grant received by the City of Asheville Engineering Department from the N.C. Sedimentation Control Commission. Logistics are being handled by RiverLink’s French Broad Riverkeeper Program.

Organizers of the event include Buncombe County Soil and Erosion Control, Land Of Sky Regional Council, Clean Water of NC, Civil Design Concepts, and North Carolina State University’s SWEAT program.
