Land Trust to host Satulah Bluegrass Festival on June 28

Some
of the hottest bluegrass musicians in the country will be picking
and wailing at the Second Annual Satulah Bluegrass Festival June 28
in Highlands.
The annual fund-raising event for the Highlands Land Trust will feature
Mountain Heart, an emerging national talent that recently won the
International Bluegrass Music Associations Emerging Artist of
the Year Award. They record for Ricky Skaggs Ceili Music label.
The other bands will be Steep Canyon Rangers, Curtis Blackwell and
the Dixie Bluegrass Boys and Spare Time Band.
The festival will be held at the Highlands ball park from 3-8 p.m.
Seating is on the grass, so bring chairs and blankets. In case of
rain, the festival will be moved to the Highlands Civic Center.
Tickets for the festival are $20 for adults, $15 for Highlands Land
Trust members and children under 12 years old are admitted free with
