Swain initiative to help entrepreneurs

SMN

A series of three meetings to introduce BeFe —By Entrepreneurs/For Entrepreneurs — will be held at three different locations June 14, June 16 and June 18.

Befe is a part of E-Cube, a new initiative by the Partnership for the Future of Bryson City and Swain County whereby business owners can obtain information about a variety of business assistance programs and the opportunity to network with experienced entrepreneurs, several of whom will speak at the meetings. Interested parties can attend meetings scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 14 in Franklin at the Franklin United Methodist Church; 7-9 p.m. on June 16 in Murphy at Tri-County Community College; and/or 1-3 p.m. on June 18 in Cherokee at Comfort Suites.

The first 30 to sign up for each meeting will receive a free copy of Ripples from the Zambezi: Passion, Entrepreneurship and the Rebirth of Local Economies by Ernesto Sirolli.

Sirolli belives small towns can boost their economies and put more people to work if they focus not on corporations but on entrepreneurs. For more information about the BeFe meetings and to register, call the Partnership office at 828.488.0454 or email BrysonSwainBill@aol.com.
