Arts Council Fun Party Series continues July 10

The Haywood County Arts Council’s Fun Party Series heads to the Laurel Ridge Country Club for “Golf, The Long and Short of It — Putting and Longest Drive Contest” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 10.

Drive for show, putt for door prizes and partake in a menu featuring smoked salmon, lobster and crab ravioli, chocolate covered strawberries and beer and wine. Cost is $40 per person.

On July 13, the series goes to the Swag Country Inn for a “Gourmet Mountain Top Picnic” at 12:30 p.m. Menu includes grilled bison burgers, homemade bratwurst, salads, carrot cake, beer and wine. Cost is $40 per person.

Take “A Walking Tour of Waynesville” and learn about the town’s history from an anecdotal point of view from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 23. The $35 cost includes a light lunch at the Lomo Grill.

And join in the “Murder Mystery Dinner Party” held at 6 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Towne Square on Main Street in Waynesville. With a dinner accompaniment from Sunset Catering watch “Eat, Drink and Be Married” (set in Las Vegas) unfold.
