the Spirit of Appalachia to host youth talent contest in Bryson SMN
Once again Catch the Spirit of Appalachia (CSA) is presenting
the Heritage Alive! Mountain Youth Talent Contest from 3-3:50 p.m.,
Saturday, Sept. 17 in Bryson City. The Heritage Alive! Mountain
Youth Talent Contest is open to all local children up to 18 years
of age. Categories of talent include vocal, instrumental, dance,
poetry, prose and storytelling. Trophies sponsored by the Great
Smoky Mountain Railroad will be awarded to all winners. Those interested
may call Amy Ammons Garza at 828.631.4587 to enter the contest or
pick up an entry blank at the office of the Great Smoky Mountain
Railroad or the Swain County Chamber of Commerce. Applications are
