<< Back 10/30/02 Asheville theater to present ‘Les Liaisons Dangereuses’ SMN The next production of Highland Repertory Theatre of Asheville will be “Les Liaisons Dangereuses” (Dangerous Liaisons) by Christopher Hampton. Shows will be at 8 p.m., Nov. 7-9, at the Diana Wortham Theatre. Admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, students and groups of 10 or more. Student rush tickets (available one hour prior to every show subject to availability) are $10. The preview performance on Nov. 7 is $10 for all tickets. Set in 18th century France, “Les Liaisons Dangeruses” is a witty, sexy portrayal of the decadent ruling class who ruined reputations and manipulated lives with a clever turn of phrase. Christopher Hampton’s award winning play was the basis for the 1988 Academy Award winning film “Dangerous Liaisons.” Highland Repertory’s regional premiere of this intriguing work is directed by noted North Carolina actor/director Tim Morrissey. This show contains mature subject matter and brief nudity. It is not recommended for children. “Les Liaisons Dangereuses” is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
