<< Back 11/27/02 Cable buyout almost completed SMN The buyout of Haywood Cable – which serves residents in Jonathan Creek and the Cruso area — should be completed within the next couple of weeks. A representative of Carolina Mountain Cablevision from Yancey County appeared at a recent county board meeting to tell commissioners more about the company. The new company has pledged to improve infrastructure and end the problems with repairs that have plagued Haywood Cable since it came to Haywood County. Commissioner Chairman Jim Stevens, though, complimented Haywood Cable on its willingness to provide cable service in the county’s outlying areas when no other providers would take the chance.
