To the Editor:

I read Congressman Heath Shuler’s excuses for his ‘no’ vote on the House health care reform bill. I doubt that the 134,000 uninsured individuals in his district, the 700 families per year who face bankruptcy due to unaffordable health care costs, and the 12,000 seniors who fall into the Medicare donut hole would agree with him.
