Buddhist monks will present a discussion and show a video about world peace and nuclear disarmament at 7 p.m., July 26, at the Circle of Light at 351 Carolina Mountain Road in Franklin.

The monks are members of the Buddhist order Nipponzan Myohoji, which is located in Atlanta, Ga. They are walking from Atlanta to Oak Ridge, Tenn., to protest continued production of nuclear arms.
The order works to bring about world peace through drumming and conducting peace marches. There is no charge for the meeting. The Circle of Light is located next to the Western Sizzlin' Restaurant.
