JACKSON COUNTY IS RECRUITING
For the position of a Telecommunicator I. An employee in this class receives emergency calls, dispatches personnel and equipment, maintains contact with multiple law enforcement agencies: EMS, rescue, and fire units. The employee will operate electronic dispatch equipment and a computer terminal. Work is performed in accordance with departmental policy, state and federal law. Work is performed under the supervision of the Emergency Services Director.
Applicant must be at least 21 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid NC drivers license, experience in communications and dispatching computer skills would be preferred.
