Annual school supply drive is Aug. 4

Haywood County’s annual School Supply Drive will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Walmart on Aug. 4.

Donations of school supplies brought to Walmart that day will be distributed to needy students throughout Haywood County.

Needed supplies include single subject notebooks; black/white (marble) bound notebooks; glue sticks (not Elmer’s glue); one-inch 3-ring notebooks with clear view pocket on outside; three-inch 3-ring notebooks; Clorox wipes; backpacks (no rollers); notebook paper; black pens; pencils; red pens; folders with pockets; sticky notes; kindergarten mats; highlighters; colored pencils; pencil pouches; and big erasers.

The drive is sponsored by Altrusa Club of Waynesville, Haywood Rotary Club, and the Haywood County Schools Foundation.
