Race Waynesville’s Main Street Mile

out mainstmileA 1-mile race through downtown Waynesville on Friday, Aug. 21, will benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Greenville, S.C.

The Main Street Mile, now in its sixth year, will kick off at 6:30 p.m., with four separate waves planned at 20-minute intervals. A post-race party will feature live music, children’s activities, food and local craft beer. Since its inception, the race has raised $30,000 for the hospital, which provides free care to children under 18 suffering from accute injuries and specialized conditions.
