Subscriptions available for 2012-13 WCU Galaxy of Stars Series

art watercoolersThe Galaxy of Stars Series at Western Carolina University will open its eighth season this fall with a lineup featuring musicianship, comedy, magic and a command performance.

The Galaxy of Stars Series debuted in 2005 as the only professional entertainment series in Jackson County with all performances taking place in the 900-seat John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center. This year’s subscription will include “Simply Sinatra” starring Steve Lippia, “The Jason Bishop Show,” “Xmas Audio” from Vox Audio, The Water Coolers, Frank Vignola and Neil Berg’s “101 Years of Broadway.”

Series subscriptions are available at a substantial savings over single-ticket prices. Subscriptions allow patrons to select and keep preferred seats and also are an affordable way for families to enjoy live entertainment. Subscription prices are $100 for adults; $90 for WCU faculty and staff; and $25 for students and children.

Single tickets for the 2012-13 series go on sale Aug. 7. Those prices are $20 for adults; $15 for WCU faculty and staff; and $5 for students and children. Ticket prices are $15 per person for groups of 20 or more and $10 for groups of 50 or more. 828.227.2479 or bardoartscenter.wcu.edu.
