The Table - Homemade Shamrock Shake

The Table - Homemade Shamrock Shake

I love the flavor of mint, but I’m not a fan of food coloring. Today’s recipe offers the amazing taste of a traditional shamrock shake without the unnecessary green color. With St. Patrick’s Day coming up next week, this is a festive and healthy-ish treat for everyone in the family!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups vanilla bean ice cream
  • 3/4 cup milk of choice (I use almond)
  • 10 fresh mint leaves (w/o stems)
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp. mint extract (optional)
  • Chocolate chips
  • Whipped topping

Directions

  • Put everything except chocolate chips and whipped topping in a blender and blend well
  • Top with chocolate chips and whipped topping
  • You can add more or less mint extract, depending on how strong you want the mint flavor
